  • 1990-1991 Asia Cup 1st ODI Match- This match is marked as the beginning of the rivalry between the two teams. The match was held in Sector 16 Stadium, Chandigarh on 25th December, 1990. In this game, India showed its dominance over Bangladesh, winning by 9 wickets. However, the toss was won by Bangladesh, and they chose to bat first. Thanks to Navjot Sidhu (104 runs) for amazing batting. He also won the Man of the Match title for his phenomenal performance. 
  • 1994-1995 Pepsi Asia Cup 1st ODI Match- The match was held on 5th April 1995 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Once again, India secured a win over Bangladesh, winning by 9 wickets. In this match, India scored 164 runs in 27.5 overs, while Bangladesh scored 163 runs in 44.4 overs. It was a toe-to-toe match between the two teams. 
  • 1997-1998 Silver Jubilee Independence Cup- It is the 1st ODI match played in Dhaka on 10th January 1998. Again, in this match, India secured a win over Bangladesh by 4 wickets. In this game, India won the toss and elected to bowl first. Sachin Tendulkar, a legendary player of the Indian cricket team, scored his first half-century (54 runs) in this match. Mohammad Azharuddin* (84 runs) emerging batter of the Indian cricket team, also scored a half-century in the 1997-1998 first ODI match. 
  • 1997-1998 Coca-Cola Triangular Series 5th ODI match- India showed dominance in this match, also played in Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. India won by 5 wickets from their opponents in this match. In the following game, Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first. Champions scored 116 runs in 29.2 overs, whereas Bangladesh scored 115 runs in 36.3 overs. Anil Kumble, the emerging bowler of the Indian team, won the Man of the Match title for his amazing performance. 
  • 2000-2001 Bangladesh v India 1st Test Match- Both teams met for their first test match in the capital city of Bangladesh, Dhaka. India once again secured a win over Bangladesh by 9 wickets. However, the toss was won by Bangladesh, and the team chose to bat first. Sourav Ganguly (84 runs) and Sunil Joshi (92 runs) combined partnership made the Champions win the match. Whereas Aminul Islam, a Bangladeshi batsman, also showed his phenomenal performance by scoring a century of 145 runs in the match. 
  • 2002-2003 TVS Cup 1st ODI Match- In this game also, the Champions (India), being dominant over Bangladesh, secured a huge win by 200 runs. India wins the toss in this game and elects to bat first. Yuvraj Singh scored a century of 102 runs and also won the Man of the Match title for his exceptional performance. 
  • 2004-2005 Bangladesh v India- It is the first test match between the two nations held at Bangabandhu National Stadium, Dhaka (Dacca) on 10th December, 2004. It is one of the iconic and interesting matches between the two nations. India secured a big win over Bangladesh, winning by an innings and 140 runs. Sachin Tendulkar scored a double century with 248 runs in this match. Irfan Pathan won the Man of the Match title. 
  • 2004-2005 Bangladesh v India 2nd ODI Match- Bangladesh made a big comeback by winning this match by 15 runs in their hometown, Dhaka, on 26th December 2004. In this match, Bangladesh won the toss and chose to bat first. Mashrafe Mortaza bowler of the Bangladesh team, won the Man of the Match title for his excellent performance.

  • 2006-2007 Bangladesh v India 2nd Test Match- It is one of the best matches between the two teams in cricket history. India clean-swept Bangladesh, winning by an innings and 235 runs. This match lit a fire of intense rivalry between the two teams. In this game, Bangladesh scored 118 & 253 runs, while India scored 610/3 dec. 
  • 2006-2007 ICC World Cup- The 8th match was held at Queen’s Park Oval, Port-of-Spain, Trinidad on 17th March, 2007. In this match, Bangladesh, being dominant over India, won the match by 5 wickets. Team India was welcomed to bat first after winning the toss.   • 2007-2008 Kitply Cup 3rd ODI Match- In this match, once again India secured a win over Bangladesh, winning by 7 wickets. The match was held in the hometown of Bangladesh, Dhaka, on 12th June 2008. India scored 223 runs in 35.1 overs, while Bangladesh scored 222 runs in 49.5 overs. Gautam Gambhir won the title of Man of the Match for his excellent performance by scoring a century of 107 runs in the match. 
  • 2009 ICC World Twenty20-  The two nations met for their 4th T20I match at Trent Bridge, Nottingham on 6th June, 2009. This is one of the interesting matches between the two teams. India won this match by 25 runs. Welcome to bowl first, Bangladesh won the toss. Gautam Gambhir, an Opening batsman from the Indian team, scored a half-century of 50 runs in the competition. Pragyan Ojha, an emerging Bowler of the India National team, won the Man of the Match title. 
  • 2013-2014 Bangladesh v India 2nd ODI Match- In this match, once again, India, being dominant over Bangladesh, won the game by 47 runs, D/L method. India got the benefit of batting in the first innings. Stuart Binny, a new bowler in the team, wins the Man of the Match title for his exceptional performance. 

2016 to Recent Matches: 

  • 2016-2017 India v Bangladesh 1st Test Match- This interesting match was held at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad on 9th February, 2017. India, being dominant over Bangladesh, won the game by 208 runs. In this competition, welcomed to bat first. India scored 687/6 dec & 159/4 dec. Murali Vijay (108 runs), Virat Kohli* (204 runs), Wriddhiman Saha† (106 runs), these rising stars’ performance in the Champions team helped India win the match. 
  • 2017 ICC Champions Trophy- In this competition, once again, India secured a win over Bangladesh, winning by 9 wickets in the 2nd semi-final match. India scored 265 runs in 40.1 overs, however, Bangladesh gave a tough competition to their opponent and scored 264 runs in 50 overs. Rohit Sharma won the title of Man of the Match for his exceptional performance in the match. 
  • 2019-2020 India v Bangladesh- The 1st test match held at Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore on 14th November, 2019, where India won the match by an innings and 130 runs. However, Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first. Mayank Aggarwal, an Opening batsman from the Indian team, scored a double century with 243 runs and won the Man of the Match title. 
  • 2019 ICC World Cup- In this match, India once again showed their dominance over Bangladesh and won the match by 28 runs. Welcomed to bat first by winning the toss, India scored 314 runs in 50 overs. Bangladesh scored 286 runs in 48 overs. 
  • 2019-2020 India v Bangladesh 1st T20I Match- The match was held on 3rd November, 2019 at Arun Jaitley Stadium. Bangladesh made a big comeback in this match by winning the game by 7 wickets. Nitish Reddy, the new Bowler in the Indian team, won the title of Man of the Match for his amazing performance. 
  • 2024-2025 India v Bangladesh 3rd T20I Match- This match was held at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad on 12th October, 2024. India, being dominant over Bangladesh, won the match by 133 runs. India won the toss and elected to bat first. Sanju Samson† scored a century (111 runs) and Suryakumar Yadav* scored a half-century (75 runs ) and helped India win the match.
