Rajasthan Royals (RR) got the better of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Match 62 of IPL 2025, held at Delhi on April 24th, by 6 wickets, and with 17 balls to spare. CSK scored 187/8 with Ayush Mhatre at the helm with 43 runs and Dewald Brevis following with 42. Akash Madhwal was RR’s hero with the ball (3/29) and was crowned Player of the Match. In their chase of 188 runs, RR started strongly with their top order firing, and eventually had the calming blows of Vaibhav Suryavanshi (57 runs), Sanju Samson (41), and explosive 31 runs off 12 balls from Dhruv Jurel leading to an easy win. Ravichandran Ashwin took two wickets for CSK, but CSK’s bowling was not nearly good enough to stop RR in this high-scoring match.
