The Indian cricket team’s right-hand hitter, Shubhman Gill, is known as the Prince of Cricket. Shubhman Gill was born on 8th September 1999, in Fazilka district in Punjab, India. The 25-year-old batter is currently ranked as the number one batter in the ODI ranking and is currently named the captain of the Indian Test Team. At the age of 20, Gill made his debut for the Indian cricket team against New Zealand in the ODI format.
Gill made his List A debut for Punjab in the 2016-17 Vijay Hazare Trophy against Vidarbha. He scored his maiden List A century, scoring 121 runs off 129 balls against Assam. On 17th November 2017, he made his first-class debut against Bengal in the 2017-18 Ranji Trophy. Shubhman Gill was included in the India C team’s Deodhar Trophy squad for 2018–19. In the Ranji Trophy, Gill struck 268 runs against Tamil Nadu to record his first-ever double century in first-class cricket.

Gill made his Test debut for Team India at the 2020 Border-Gavaskar Trophy on December 26, 2020. Gill won Player of the Series at India’s West Indies and USA Tour in July 2022. On January 18, 2023, Gill became the sixth Indian batsman to score a double century in one-day internationals and the youngest in men’s international cricket. Gill broke Hasim Amla’s record for the fastest batter to score 2000 runs in ODIs. Hasim Amla accomplished it in 40 innings, while Gill completed the important milestones in 38 innings. He was named India’s captain for the first time in the India-Zimbabwe series.
Gill started his IPL career with the Kolkata Knight Riders from 2018 to 2021 at the base price of rupees 1.8 crore in 2018. KKR finished third, with Gill scoring 203 runs in the 2018 season. Later, he won the Emerging Player of the Tournament award in the 2019 season of the Indian Premier League.
