Kolkata Knight Riders registered their first victory of the 2025 IPL season by defeating Rajasthan Royals by 8 wickets in Guwahati. KKR’s skipper Ajinkya Rahane decided to bowl first after winning the toss on the slow surface of Barsapara Cricket Stadium. KKR’s bowlers, especially spinners, proved this decision of their captain absolutely correct, as Rajasthan managed only 151/9, which is the lowest total of this season so far. Came to chase 152 runs, KKR fulfilled the formalities in just 17.3 overs, riding on Quinton de Kock’s 97* off 61 balls.
