With a blistering 103 off just 42 balls, Priyansh Arya led Punjab Kings to a thrilling victory over Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 18 runs, marking CSK’s fourth straight defeat in IPL 2025. Arya hit the fastest century by an uncapped Indian, benefitting from a few dropped catches, and was ably assisted by Shashank Singh, who remained not out at 52, as PBKS made 219/6 in 20 overs. In their chase of 220, despite contributions from Conway (69) and Dube (42) CSK were unable to take advantage of important moments in the match as they dropped five catches. CSK have now failed to chase targets of over 180 for 11 consecutive times since 2020.
